Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity


Position Overview


Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a CNC Machinist to join a local manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating conventional, special-purpose, numerical control machines, and machining centers to fabricate metal and non-metal parts. The ideal candidate will have previous CNC machining experience and a strong attention to quality and precision.


Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment
• Fabricate metal and non-metal parts according to specifications
• Produce winch, speed reducer, and custom components
• Monitor product quality and ensure parts meet required standards
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production instructions
• Maintain a safe and organized work area
• Perform routine machine adjustments and inspections as needed
• Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications:

• Previous CNC machining experience required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
• Frequent bending and stooping
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
