About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to end homelessness among youth and young families. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the International Youth Congress, ensuring that the voices and insights of young people are integrated into all aspects of the organization's work. This includes developing and maintaining governance structures that elevate youth voice, managing the IYC budget, and forging partnerships to enhance leadership development opportunities. The VP will also serve as a strategic and operational leader, working closely with the Senior Vice President to advance the company's advocacy portfolio and maintain enterprise alignment. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' of progressive leadership experience in advocacy, public policy, youth development, or related fields, and a proven track record of influencing senior leaders and stakeholders. Essential skills include project management, political judgment, change management, and data literacy. The role requires a candidate who is adept at relationship management, facilitation, and is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment. A graduate degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with Spanish fluency and experience in social determinant of health policy domains. The VP will be expected to travel up to 25% of the time and must be committed to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
