Primary responsibility and activity for the assessment, improvement, implementation, and support of the Master Data Management (MDM) product. Assesses the current state of MDM for improvement opportunities. Works within and beyond area of control to implement improvement approaches. Engages with team to quantify and articulate the business impact of MDM issues. Analyzes business requirements and translates to technical requirements. Collaborates with Enterprise Architects, Data Platform Integration, other teams, and third-party vendors. Applies expert knowledge to analyze, evaluate, and architect possible solutions; and presents recommendations to DPS management and business stakeholders. Solutions architecture comprises end-to-end processes, including the application and integration of data quality rules, MDM processes and user interfaces, and the delivery of master records to consumer layers and downstream systems through the use of APIs and other technology. Shares knowledge and provides mentoring to other team members. Configures MDM per requirement, following standards and design patterns, applying defensive programming for any code that is needed for extending the MDM solution. Applies strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues around the MDM solution, and liaisons with vendors to diagnose and resolve potential defects. Works with Business Analysts and subject matter experts on processes to enable and ensure data quality within the MDM product. Configures MDM Pre-Landing, Landing, Stage, and Base tables for data load and validates the load. Develops and optimizes match and merge algorithms. Configures and supports elastic search to be used for the MDM user interface. Builds MDM API’s according to approved design patterns for near real-time and real-time integration. Tunes MDM configuration and MDM APIs to meet SLAs for downstream and upstream systems. Develops, monitors, and supports data quality and matched record exceptions workflows. Assists in the support of other patient matching processes within the organization. Implements best practices following policies, change management practices and procedures. Develops subject matter expertise of the Novant Health master data processes and how it impacts upstream and downstream solutions.
