Packaging Engineer

Mechanical Engineer

The customer's expectation is for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in packaging machinery and systems. The resource should be capable of:

• Evaluating the suitability and performance of packaging equipment, from fillers through secondary packaging.
• Supporting End-of-Line (EOL) systems, including palletizing operations.
• Coordinating and working closely with equipment vendors.
• Developing and finalizing technical specifications for equipment modifications and packaging/product changeovers.
• Providing engineering support for packaging process improvements and optimization.
• The Packaging Engineer should be proficient in AutoCAD and capable of developing and modifying packaging line layouts.
• The role will also be responsible for coordination and integration of 3D models within the overall plant design environment.
• While the engineer is expected to lead 3D model coordination activities, offshore support can be leveraged on a project-by-project basis for additional 3D modeling hours whenever required.
• Experience in reviewing layout impacts, equipment placement, utility requirements, and integration of new packaging equipment into existing production lines would be beneficial.

Preferred Industry Experience:

• Food & Beverage industry
• Ice Cream manufacturing
• Hygienic/clean-process industries
• 5+ to 10+ yr experience will be better in above domain field.
