Location: Outreach Lab Waters Facility: BayCare Health System, Molecular Biology – LAB Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite Weekend Work: Occasional

Role Overview
As a Molecular Laboratory Technologist, you will perform high‑complexity molecular testing while supporting quality, accuracy, and efficiency within the molecular diagnostics laboratory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing high‑complexity molecular diagnostic testing
- Ensuring appropriate utilization of reagents and laboratory supplies
- Receiving and storing laboratory samples according to established procedures
- Assisting with troubleshooting of tests, instruments, and sample delivery issues
- Assisting with the preparation and review of quality control records
- Supporting maintenance of instrument records, including failures, calibrations, and repairs
- Performing laboratory tasks and related functions independently
Qualifications
Education
Required: Associate's degree in Medical Technology OR a related field Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience
Required: Two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience At least one (1) year of experience in Molecular Diagnostics
Licensure / Certification
Required: State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License One of the following certifications in Molecular Biology or Molecular Diagnostics: ASCP NCA ABB
