Job Details: Shift Time: Rotating Schedule: 8-hour shift, 40 hours per week, with rotations in start times and days Required Qualifications: Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; Current RN license in California; One year previous full-time experience in the operating room; Basic Life Support (BLS or equivalent) certificate from approved vendor; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS or equivalent) certification from approved vendor; Additional required certifications include AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR); Experience in Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, or Trauma settings. Essential Functions: Competent to circulate during surgical procedures; knowledgeable of aseptic technique; capable of operating all routine operating room equipment; able to prepare patients for surgery including anatomical positioning; performs pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient assessments; safely handles and disposes of biohazardous materials; accesses facility information systems; maintains documentation for tissue and supplies; adheres to safety and emergency protocols; performs housekeeping and restocking duties as needed. Additional Information: Schedule includes 8-hour shifts with a rotating start time, totaling at least 40 hours weekly. Call responsibilities include at least one night and one weekend per schedule, potentially more based on unit needs.
