Contract | Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Block Scheduling | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients (?35 weeks) and postpartum mother/baby couplets in an LDRP setting, following AWHONN staffing guidelines
• Titrate and manage drips including Magnesium, Oxytocin, and other antepartum/postpartum medications
• Monitor patients using OB Trace Vue electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) system
• Assist with neonatal respiratory support equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow devices
• Circulate for the newborn during cesarean section procedures
• Float to other units (Med/Surg or ED) as needed to provide helping-hands support, primarily 1:1 patient sitting

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Ability to pass facility-required respiratory fit testing (3M Aura 1860 or 3M 1870+); facial hair must not prevent successful fit test completion
• Ability to work every third weekend and holidays based on availability
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront; no more than 7 days per 13-week contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a rural or critical access hospital setting with limited specialty resources
• Strong independent clinical judgment and ability to work with provider consistency in a small-team environment
• Familiarity with OB Trace Vue or similar electronic fetal monitoring systems
