About the Position

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in a high-acuity Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The RN will provide specialized care for critically ill cardiovascular patients, manage complex cardiac conditions, titrate vasoactive medications, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. This position requires strong critical care experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience
• Active BLS Certification
• Active ACLS Certification
• Experience caring for fresh open-heart surgery patients from the OR
• Experience with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Ability to independently titrate critical care drips, including vasopressors and sedation medications
• Experience managing ventilated and critically ill cardiac patients
• Dysrhythmia exam must be passed with a minimum score of 80% (within two attempts) prior to contract signing
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Impella experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, cardiac ICU expertise, and excellent communication skills
