Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an inpatient opportunity in Winchester, Virginia .

This opportunity is built for an experienced Hospital Medicine APP who values a defined daytime schedule and substantial physician support . The NP/PA works 7:00 AM–7:00 PM within an established Hospital Medicine program featuring 9 daytime rounding physicians, staggered admitting physician coverage, a closed ICU, and Epic EMR .

A Deep Hospital Medicine Team

This is a substantial Hospital Medicine program with an average daily census of approximately 222 patients across the entire service . The NP/PA works as part of a broad physician-led coverage model rather than independently carrying the overall program census.

Daytime coverage includes:

• 9 rounding physicians | 7A–7P
• 1 NP/PA | 7A–7P
• Admitting physician | 12P–10P
• Admitting physician | 2P–12A
• Overnight coverage by 2 physicians | 7P–7A

For an experienced Hospitalist APP, the structure provides significant physician presence throughout the entire onsite shift , with additional admitting coverage extending into the evening.

Clinical Environment

Practice inpatient Hospital Medicine within a regional referral environment, collaborating with physicians, nursing, and the broader multidisciplinary team.

The combination of daytime APP coverage, extensive physician staffing, a closed ICU, and Epic creates a well-defined practice environment for an experienced inpatient NP or PA.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active Virginia NP or PA license , as applicable
• Active DEA
• Minimum 2 years of Hospital Medicine experience
• BLS,  ACLS
• Strong inpatient Hospital Medicine background
• Epic experience preferred
• PAs: NCCPA certification
• NPs: appropriate national board certification for inpatient Hospital Medicine practice
