Head of SEC Reporting

Marsh is seeking a Head of SEC Reporting to join our high-performing Controllership function. This role will lead the company’s SEC and external reporting deliverables, ensuring filings and disclosures are accurate, timely, and fully compliant. The Head of SEC Reporting will own end-to-end execution of the quarterly and annual SEC reporting cycles and will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to uphold strong disclosure controls, robust documentation, and disciplined, repeatable processes. This role reports to the Head of Financial Reporting, who oversees SEC Reporting, Internal Reporting, Consolidation, and Statutory Reporting. The Head of SEC Reporting will work in close partnership with the Accounting Policy & Advisory Group, which owns formal policy setting and technical accounting position papers. This position is based in New York, NY and is hybrid, with an expectation of working in the office at least three days per week. What you need to have: Active CPA License required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in SEC reporting/external reporting, ideally in a large, accelerated filer / complex public company environment; public accounting experience strongly valued Expert knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting/disclosure requirements What makes you stand out? Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person. The applicable base salary range for this role is $138,100 to $276,200. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
