Your Role Awaits

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, initiate diagnostic testing, and create personalized care plans
• Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic ailments in collaboration with physicians or autonomously (depending on credentials)
• Educate patients and their families about health promotion, wellness, and disease management
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with your scope of practice
• Engage in patient follow-up and chronic care coordination
• Work across interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, holistic care
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Prerequisites

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certification Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
