Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain a proper understanding of each client’s unique experiences, which will lead to the development of personalized treatment plans. \n
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions specifically tailored to the diverse backgrounds and needs of individual patients, ensuring effective strategies are employed. \n
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on promoting resilience, coping skills, and overall mental health well-being among clients. \n
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate and enhance care quality, ensuring comprehensive support for each client. \n
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, particularly during mental health emergencies, utilizing best practices to de-escalate situations and refer clients to appropriate resources. \n
- Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery. \n
- Maintain confidential and accurate patient records in compliance with legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently. \n
- Engage in continuous professional development by participating in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions. \n
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in mental health, particularly regarding culturally responsive care. \n
The therapist will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals from various ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, and sexual orientations. Our primary focus is on providing inclusive and effective mental health support to underserved communities, though our clients may represent a wide spectrum of backgrounds and personal experiences. Understanding the contextual realities of each client is fundamental to delivering impactful care and fostering trusting therapeutic relationships.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A relevant Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- A current and valid license as an LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of California, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. \n
- A strong grasp of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and the necessity of cultural competence in therapy practices. \n
- Proven experience delivering individual and group therapy through culturally responsive and inclusive approaches. \n
- Exceptional crisis intervention skills with a composed demeanor during challenging patient situations. \n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with a diverse clientele. \n
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications, facilitating efficient documentation and client management. \n
- A strong commitment to professional ethics, maintaining boundaries, integrity, and confidentiality in all client interactions. \n
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a holistic treatment approach for clients. \n

- Demonstrated experience in telehealth service delivery, adapting in-person therapeutic techniques for remote sessions. \n
- Previous work with marginalized communities, focusing on culturally inclusive practices and advocacy within mental healthcare. \n
- Experience in developing and implementing community outreach programs aimed at increasing awareness of mental health resources. \n
The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
