Senior Marketing Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Automation Specialist to support a large enterprise organization’s digital marketing and customer engagement initiatives.

This is a hands-on role focused on executing and optimizing acquisition and retention campaigns across multiple channels, including email, SMS, digital advertising, direct mail, and other customer touch-points . The ideal candidate brings strong Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise, understands how customer data drives personalization and segmentation, and is comfortable working at the intersection of marketing, technology, data, and analytics.

What You'll Do

Marketing Automation & Campaign Execution:

• Execute and optimize multichannel acquisition and retention campaigns across email, SMS, digital advertising, direct mail, and other channels.
• Manage day-to-day digital campaign operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality campaign execution.
• Develop and optimize automated marketing workflows to reduce manual effort and improve campaign efficiency.
• Leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud , including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Einstein, SQL, and the SFMC data model , to build and execute sophisticated customer journeys.
• Use Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud Personalization to segment and activate customer data for more targeted and personalized campaigns.
• Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes through automation and operational efficiencies.
• Monitor campaign functionality and performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Campaign Operations, Data & Analytics

• Deploy multichannel campaigns and automation designed to improve efficiency, engagement, and overall campaign performance.
• Partner closely with marketing and project management teams to coordinate campaign requirements, timelines, and execution.
• Build and maintain performance dashboards using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence/Datorama .
• Leverage SQL and other reporting capabilities to support advanced campaign analysis and insights.
• Work with large customer databases and apply database-management best practices to campaign segmentation and execution.
• Analyze campaign results and identify opportunities to improve engagement and ROI.
• Provide internal stakeholders with accurate and timely campaign execution, reporting, and insights.

Marketing Technology & Optimization

• Work across the broader Salesforce marketing technology ecosystem, including Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Personalization, and Marketing Cloud Intelligence .
• Collaborate with marketing, data, technology, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment across the digital marketing ecosystem.
• Identify new tools, capabilities, and emerging trends that can improve campaign performance, personalization, and customer engagement.
• Support continued adoption and optimization of marketing automation technology and processes.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of digital marketing experience , with significant hands-on marketing automation experience.
• Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or a comparable enterprise marketing automation platform.
• Hands-on experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, SQL, and automated campaign workflows .
• Experience with customer data platforms such as Salesforce Data Cloud and personalization technologies such as Marketing Cloud Personalization , or comparable platforms.
• Strong understanding of customer segmentation, database management, and working with large datasets.
• Technical proficiency with SQL, Excel, AMPscript, and HTML/CSS .
• Experience building or maintaining marketing performance dashboards and reporting.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, process-mapping, and data-modeling skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and marketing audiences and collaborate across multiple teams and levels of an organization.
• Experience supporting membership, subscription, retention, or lifecycle marketing programs is a plus.
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A master's degree is a plus.
