About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Financial Officer to lead and oversee its enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, tax levy, and debt management functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the long-term financial sustainability and responsible stewardship of public resources. This role involves partnering with the Chief Financial Officer to develop financial strategies, policies, and practices that support operational and capital needs, as well as representing the company's financial position to key external stakeholders. The Deputy CFO will also provide strategic leadership for the finance and budget functions, foster a high-performing, inclusive culture, and oversee performance management, talent development, and workforce planning. Applicants for the Deputy CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' financial management experience, with a focus on strategic planning, financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting, and at least 4 years' of experience in supervising staff and managing accounting, finance, or budget functions. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration is desired. The role requires a committed individual who is dedicated to equity, a leader with strong strategic thinking, and an exceptional communicator with executive-level skills. Financial expertise in corporate finance, business management, and a comprehensive understanding of bond offerings, treasury operations, investment management, and financial markets is essential. The ideal candidate will be a collaborator, actively promoting a culture of partnership and driving cohesive decision-making across the organization.
