About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Candidates must have experience with post-operative patients. Candidates must be competent in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management. Description: The unit has 36 beds and a staff of 55 employees. Day shift includes 1 clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, 3 techs, and 1 unit secretary. Night shift includes 1 clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, and 2 techs. Patient ratios are 1:6. Equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. Candidates should be team players with a positive attitude. Strong patient advocacy is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required. Dress code requires navy blue and white scrubs. Hoodies, pull-overs, and T-shirts are not allowed. The unit is recognized for top patient experience scores.
