MGP Ingredients is a leading supplier of premium distilled spirits and food ingredient solutions. Its Distilling Solutions segment provides bourbons, whiskeys, ryes, gins, and vodkas to craft and multinational brands. MGP's own Branded Spirts business is growing following the 2021 acquisition of Luxco, a top spirits producer, bottler, supplier, and importer as well as the 2023 acquisition of Penelope Bourbon, known for its wide range of uniquely blended expressions. Ingredient Solutions delivers nutritional, functional wheat- and pea-based ingredients aligned with consumer trends. The company operates in locations across the Midwestern U.S., and overseas in Northern Ireland and Mexico.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are hiring for an Industrial Electrician at our Atchison, KS plant. This position works as a member of a team of electricians to ensure that all electrical apparatus remain fully functional and completing projects throughout the plant.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Troubleshoot and repair problems with electrical equipment and instrumentation
• Installing, configuring, repairing and maintaining various brands of AC and DC electronic drives
• Troubleshoot and repair motor and control systems and PLCs
• Perform electrical building maintenance and repairs

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred experience with 24 volt ac/dc through 480 volt ac three phase, frequency drives & PLC logic.
• Requires passing score on general aptitude testing and mechanical testing conducted at MGP Ingredients.
• Ability to work effectively in teams
• Strong verbal & written communication skills. Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instruction.
• Ability to enter and interpret data from computer and ability to operate computer controlled features in the plant
• Ability to see colors
• Ability to climb and work in high places and in confined spaces
• Willingness to work shift work and overtime as required

Various lab equipment, two-way radios will be required to use.
