How you'll make an impact in this role
- Clinical Leadership: Coordinate unit staffing and lead specialized nursing areas to ensure high-quality patient care and clinical objectives are met.
- Shift & Resource Management: Direct, educate, and assign duties to nursing and support staff while securing necessary materials, resources, and supplies.
- Patient Care Planning: Assess daily patient needs to create appropriate care assignments, optimize productivity, and adjust to shifting patient and physician dynamics.
- Issue Resolution: Exercise independent judgment to resolve patient care complaints through established organizational channels.
- Staff Development: Provide valuable input regarding the hiring, training, development, and performance evaluation of unit staff.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
