Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room setting, ensuring safe and efficient surgical procedures. Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and prepare them for surgical procedures.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist during surgeries as needed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
• Educate patients and their families about preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Uphold patient safety standards, including adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse license or valid compact state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Proven experience working in an Operating Room environment.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and delegation skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
