Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.**WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:*** Interpret blueprints and collaborate with the Lead person to confirm job requirements.* Gather necessary materials and perform layout work according to specifications.* Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications.* Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations.* Inspect welds for quality, repairing defective joints as needed.* Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required.* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping duties.**YOU HAVE:*** High School Diploma or GED* Abilities to meet physical and environmental demands* Standing /Walking for extended periods of time* Lift up to 50lbs.* Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment* Wear the required PPE for the given position* Must be trained in applicable SOPs and work instructions* Skilled in utilizing cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers* At least one year of welding experience* Able to read tape measures and blueprints* Ability to properly operate welding equipment**WE HAVE:*** A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day + nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
