National Account Director - Market Access

Job Summary We anticipate the application window for this opening will close on 22 Jun 2026. At MiniMed, the Director, National Accounts leads the Market Access strategy by engaging key national PBM and payer organizations. The role involves developing and executing account‑specific plans to expand access, support reimbursement, and strengthen MiniMed’s position across a broad portfolio of diabetes products. Responsibilities Lead contract pricing committee discussions and provide fact‑based decision support with Pricing & Contracting, business analytics and medical affairs (HEOR). Develop and execute national sales and access plans with direct impact on revenue, coverage and future opportunities. Oversee high‑visibility payer initiatives and strategic projects, monitor performance against contracts, forecasts and access objectives. Analyze and validate rebate, contract performance and downstream analytics to ensure alignment with financial and contractual terms. Support formulary placement, reimbursement (coverage, coding, payment and patient access) and utilization management across payer customers. Conduct pre‑deal analytics and scenario modeling to align future contracts with access, operational and financial goals. Negotiate cost‑effective contracts that allow access to all MiniMed products for providers and patients. Create clear messages for field specialists and reimbursement managers on payer trends, changes and billing requirements. Collaborate with field reimbursement managers to ensure accurate coverage determinations and resolve customer issues. Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Clinical and Legal teams to prevent and resolve market access issues. Translate payer insights into actionable recommendations for product positioning and strategy. Mentor field partners and influence market access processes across the organization. May directly manage select GPOs/PBM/PAYER accounts. Requirements Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or healthcare experience, or advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. payer landscape, payer contracting, rebate agreements, formulary management, utilization management criteria and gross‑to‑net. Proven ability to synthesize complex data into execution plans. Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives across functions. Executive‑level communication and relationship‑building skills. Familiarity with diabetes technologies and emerging market trends. Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to payer contracting and healthcare policy. 30‑40% domestic travel. Preferred Qualifications Experience in account management, payer strategy, analytics or other market access roles. For specified locations: $165,000 – $281,000. The position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan, annual long‑term incentive plan, and additional benefits including health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life insurance, disability, 401(k) with company match, short‑term disability, paid time off, holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan and more. Regular employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for the full benefits package.
