JOB SUMMARY:

The Meat Cutter performs various cuts for meat items in constant meat cutting with knife and/or saw machine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible with stocking merchandise in both the fresh and frozen cases Ensures product's quality, protections, accuracy and proper rotation in coolers Rewraps meat packages as needed Constant meat cutting with knife and/or saw machine Maintains a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma, GED equivalent required Basic kitchen skills; familiar with food preparation. Bilingual in English and Spanish

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities required for satisfactory performance. Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
