This role will develop and execute Impact Selling programs to drive key sales objectives in their markets. Sazerac is exponentially growing our U.S. salesforce as part of a strategic company expansion. This is an opportunity to lead a best in class sales team to build brands and drive results in the field! Additional responsibilities for the Market Development Manager include: Lead and manage a team of Market Development Representatives to build brands, maximize distribution, solve customer challenges and maximize Sazerac merchandising and space-to-sales. Motivate and develop internal and wholesale team in delivering brand and individual goals. Establish and implement strategic programs to guide distribution, innovative launches, displays, feature ads, and retail promotions that produce effective presentation of the brand state priorities. Achieve volume objectives for the brand state priorities. Plan and execute consistent sales calls with key accounts. Develop, implement and monitor agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as it relates to their team. Work with internal teams to course correct any brands that are off brand state priority plan. *Job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory and compliance standards for the state.Qualifications/RequirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor Degree in Business or equivalent experienceMinimum 1 year of relevant professional experience, or for new college graduates, a sales internship or full/part-time sales role (preferably in consumer goods)A valid driver's licenseAbility and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)Strong planning & organizational skillsWillingness to travelMust be able to obtain a relevant solicitor’s permit in any stateCandidate must reside in or near the territoryMust be able to personally pay or charge ordinary and necessary business expenses that will be timely reimbursedPreferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years sales experienceMarket development and sales analysis experienceStrong ability to self-manage and manage schedule to achieve resultsExperience building customer relationshipsPhysical Requirements:Standing for an extended period of timeAbility to pick up and/or move objects up to 35 pounds without assistanceAscend or descend stairsAbility to drive and visit multiple accounts in one dayStrong communication skillsPlacement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position.
