Program Specialist

The Program Specialist (Match Support) engages in collaborating directly with volunteers, children, and families for the purpose of creating, supporting, and sustaining high volume, high quality Big and Little matches. Essential to the BBBS brand, the primary function of this position is to supervise, support, and coach matches according to a match support schedule that adheres to BBBSA and BBBSTB standards and policies. The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: volunteer yield and processing time; youth yield; youth/parent processing time, match closure and retention rates, average match length, and customer satisfaction. Conducts introductory match meetings between volunteers and children at homes, schools, sites, virtually, or in the community. Ensure high-level proficiency in applying child safety and risk management knowledge, policies, and procedures throughout all aspects of job function. Identify child safety issues for volunteers, children, and their families. Qualifications Candidate must have a high school diploma/GED equivalent and meet one of the following criteria: A documented bachelor’s degree, from an accredited college or university, in human service, social work, counselling, child development or related field. Or the candidate shall be within six months of degree completion. A documented associate degree or two years of higher education experience, from an accredited college or university in human service, social work, counseling, child development, or related field. Plus, two years of relevant work experience in related fields. Four years of relevant work experience in related fields, such as social work, counseling, Minimum two years' experience working with both child and adult population; specific assessment preferred.
