Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:

The OR Nurse will provide specialized perioperative nursing care, supporting surgical procedures across multiple disciplines including GU, GYN, and general surgery. They will assist with scrubbing, circulating, and managing robotic surgeries while ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare and assist in operative procedures.
  
  
• 
  Perform scrubbing and circulating duties accurately during surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Ensure and maintain proper counts, specimen handling, and adherence to infection control standards.
  
  
• 
  Support robotic and minimally invasive surgeries as needed.
  
  
• 
  Take call shifts during nights and weekends to provide 24/7 coverage.
  
  
• 
  Follow all safety, documentation, and compliance protocols throughout procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess a minimum of 12 months recent OR experience, including scrubbing and circulating.
  
  
• 
  Hold an active Ohio or compact nursing license prior to submission.
  
  
• 
  Complete and pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
  
  
• 
  Maintain active certifications such as BLS; additional certifications are preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in surgical aseptic techniques and specimen handling.
  
  
• 
  Provide a recent reference from a supervisor within the last 12 months.
