We're seeking an organized, resourceful Facilities & Project Manager to oversee six privately owned residential and commercial properties while coordinating contractors, maintenance projects, renovations, and ongoing improvements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, managing projects from start to finish, and keeping multiple priorities moving efficiently across both business and residential properties.

The portfolio includes six properties with multiple structures, including two office buildings, as well as extensive shoreline, bridges, wooded areas, landscaping, driveways, parking areas, and other unique property features.

This position will coordinate and manage contractors and vendors while overseeing a wide variety of projects, including maintenance, renovations, capital improvements, landscaping, purchasing, and ongoing property operations. This is a hands-on project management role focused on organization, planning, communication, and follow-through rather than performing the work yourself.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers across multiple residential and commercial properties
• Coordinate interior and exterior maintenance, repairs, renovations, and improvement projects
• Oversee landscaping, irrigation, exterior lighting, shoreline, pathways, and other outdoor improvements
• Manage project schedules, budgets, priorities, and contractor performance
• Research, source, and purchase materials, equipment, and services
• Identify issues, recommend solutions, and independently resolve day-to-day property needs
• Coordinate construction, renovation, home automation, IT/AV, and other specialty projects
• Maintain organized project documentation, schedules, and communications using Google Workspace

Required Qualifications

• College degree with project management experience
• Experience hiring, negotiating with, and managing contractors and vendors
• Strong computer proficiency, including Google Docs and Google Sheets
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional follow-through
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Purchasing and vendor research experience
• Resourceful, reliable, honest, and self-motivated
• Able to independently prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
• Located within a reasonable commuting distance of the northern suburbs

Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas is a plus, but not required:

Compensation & Schedule

• Full-time preferred (part-time applicants willing to grow into a full-time role will also be considered)
