Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector – Griffin, GA Reports to: Site Supervisor/Site Leads Responsibilities The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria. Performs quality inspections and audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use. Identifies non-conforming parts or sub-assemblies and applies appropriate rework, sorting or scrapping as directed by the Team Leader. Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material. Determines the tools and equipment needed for the task and sets them up accordingly. Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools or equipment. Communicates sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and the production source. Opens and closes tickets in the company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements. Maintains accurate inspection records and documentation. Qualifications Proficiency in English – excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask. Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced, challenging environment. Initiative and recognition of needs. Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential material. Reliable transportation. 1+ year in a quality related position. Basic knowledge of materials and production processes. Basic knowledge of quality control methods.
