Transportation Tracking Coordinator - Lakeland

Continuously monitoring the delivery status of inbound loads, identifying those in jeopardy of not arriving on the requested due date

Providing timely and accurate communication regarding inbound purchase orders in jeopardy of not arriving on the requested due date to allow for the development of effective mitigation strategies

Maximizing on-time deliveries into Publix facilities by initiating contact with warehouse receiving departments, suppliers, and manufacturing plants

Tracking seasonal items, highly sensitive items, and expedited transfers

Monitoring delays at shipping and receiving locations to minimize cost to Publix and ensure carriers are compensated for the time delayed

Required Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have one year experience working in Distribution, Transportation, or an analytical field
• Be able to work flexible hours and be available on weekends
• Be able to work extended periods of time
• Be able to successfully complete battery of Clerical & Microsoft Skills Tests (before their start date in the position)
• Be able to be detail oriented
• Be able to handle change on a regular basis
• Be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner
• Be able to multitask and prioritize
• Be able to negotiate
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to work well in a team environment

• Have knowledge of software, systems, and applications used in the Corporate Transportation department (TMS, PC Miler, I-Trade, Publix Host, Marwood-PIMS)
• Have knowledge of the transportation industry and
• Have knowledge of United States geography

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Lakeland Distribution associate
• Have an associate's degree in Business, Transportation or a related field or equivalent experience and
• Have three years' clerical experience working in Transportation

6:00am - 4:30pm; rotating days

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.
