Registered Nurse, SDU Cardiac/Telemetry, Per Diem, Day

Position Summary To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Perform varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Assist patients with physical tasks such as stretching, bending, lifting, and transferring, and complete associated documentation and communication with multidisciplinary team members (MD's, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Laboratory, etc.). Provide constant verbal and written communication in English, including clear speech and active listening, and use deductive and inductive reasoning skills to apply general rules to specific problems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required. Effective oral and written communication skills. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Constant speaking and listening in English. Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary health team. Effective time management skills to set priorities, problem solve, and deliver care. Physical Requirements Full range of body motion, including physically assisting patients, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. Lifting and moving objects that may involve exerting force in excess of 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly. Operational tasks such as walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, and photocopying frequently.
