Position Title: Unit Secretary / Ward Clerk
Schedules Available: Part Time, 37.5 hours. Approximately 7:30 am – 3:30 pm Monday - Friday
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists the nursing department to keep the unit well organized.
- Answers the phone cordially and assists caller with any needs or concerns.
- Friendly, outgoing, self-directed, highly organized.
- Maintains medical records and documentation as required.
- Schedules appointments and coordinated care for residents
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Experience in a healthcare setting strongly desired.
- Experience and familiarity with medical terminology and medical record maintenance required.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent computer skills
This is a very busy position and the chosen candidate must be able to juggle multiple competing priorities. Only highly organized persons should apply.
