Speech Language Pathologist

Join our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings. We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. This role requires strong clinical expertise, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. What You'll Do Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. Provide care to medically complex and critically ill patients in intensive care units and acute care settings, as well as outpatient populations. Develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with New York State practice standards and hospital policies. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation, radiology, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes. Perform and interpret instrumental swallowing evaluations, including: Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) in collaboration with Radiology Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals on treatment plans and swallowing safety. Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Minimum 3 years of SPL experience in acute care environments acute demonstrating independence in evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders across inpatient and outpatient settings. Experience treating medically complex and critically ill patients in ICU. Proficiency performing and interpreting FEES and Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS). Knowledge of: Craniofacial abnormalities, Congenital heart defects, Gastrointestinal disorders, Tracheostomy management, Passy Muir Speaking Valve use , and Head, and neck cancer rehabilitation. Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical documentation skills. Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable. Location: 600 E 233rd Street, Bronx, NY Work schedule: (Sun to Thurs - 9am – 5:30 pm) or (8 am -5:45 pm on 3 days and 1 day 8 am -6:15 pm) or (2 days 8 am-5:45 pm and 2 days 8am - 6:00 pm) Annual base salary range*: $102,757.55 to $ 122,984.06 *For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education, or other relevant factors.
