Job Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 4x12-Hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) and Day 4x12-Hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00) with every other weekend required.

Job Description

This role requires a Washington state licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care within a Level III NICU setting. The therapist will perform responsibilities autonomously and may float between departments as needed. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive skills to handle a variety of neonatal respiratory conditions and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care management for patients in the NICU.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation.
• Management of ventilatory support and oxygen therapy.
• Perform intubation and extubation procedures.
• Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpretation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Washington State RRT license in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in neonatal intensive care.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage high-acuity NICU patients.
