NEXTAFF Healthcare is hiring experienced and compassionate Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to support residents in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Senior Living, Residential Care, and Long-Term Care communities throughout Iowa.

Medication Technician Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications according to physician orders and facility policies
- Accurately document medication administration and resident observations
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions
- Observe and report changes in resident conditions to nursing staff
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) when appropriate
- Maintain medication records and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Promote resident comfort, safety, dignity, and independence
- Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Follow infection control, safety, and compliance guidelines
Qualifications
- Current Iowa Medication Aide, Medication Technician, Med Tech, CMA, or equivalent certification as required by Iowa regulations
- Previous Medication Technician, Caregiver, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Senior Living, or Long-Term Care experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and medication administration accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Successful completion of background screening requirements
