Manufacturing Operations SupervisorOur client is a well-established food manufacturer with a long history in the Buffalo, NY area.We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to oversee daily plant operations within a USDA-inspected meat manufacturing facility. This is a build-and-run leadership role responsible for driving consistent, efficient, and compliant production. The position offers a clear path to expanded plant leadership as the business grows.Key ResponsibilitiesPlant & Production OperationsLead daily production activities including grinding, mixing, stuffing, chilling, and packagingEnsure recipes, weights, specifications, and quality standards are consistently metManage production scheduling, order fulfillment, and workflow efficiencyOversee raw material, packaging, and finished goods inventoryTeam LeadershipDirect and supervise hourly production staffRecruit, train, and develop team membersSet expectations around performance, safety, and accountabilityMaintain a visible, hands-on presence on the production floorFood Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and food safety regulationsMaintain required production, temperature, and sanitation documentationSupport inspections and auditsLead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiativesOperational PerformanceMonitor yields, shrink, waste, and labor efficiencyIdentify bottlenecks and improve throughput and consistencyPartner with ownership on equipment, layout, and process improvementsMinimum Qualifications3-5+ years of experience in a USDA-inspected meat or protein processing facilityWorking knowledge of HACCP and sanitation programsExperience in a hands-on manufacturing environmentPrior supervisory or production team leadership experienceExperience tracking yields, shrink, and cost controlsMechanical aptitude with food processing equipmentCompensation: $65,000 – $75,000 Salary, based on experience.Job Status: Direct Hire.
