ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
• Provide comprehensive preventive dental hygiene care to patients.
• Perform thorough dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, and oral health evaluations.
• Review medical and dental health histories and identify changes that may impact patient care.
• Obtain and review dental radiographs as permitted by California licensure and practice protocols.
• Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene, periodontal health, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Develop strong, trusting relationships with patients and provide a comfortable, positive experience.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain complete clinical records.
• Communicate clinical findings and treatment recommendations effectively with the dentist and dental team.
• Identify periodontal concerns and other oral health conditions and communicate findings appropriately.
• Provide appropriate preventive and periodontal therapy within the scope of California RDH licensure.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked hygiene operatory.
• Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and office safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
• Stay current with clinical knowledge, technology, and best practices through continuing education.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Current California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing.
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current California-required certifications and credentials for the position.
• Previous dental hygiene experience preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge of preventive and periodontal dental hygiene care.
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, calm, caring personality with a positive attitude.
• Professional, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative team player.
• Efficient, motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, modern dental environment.
• Strong computer and dental software skills; experience with Oryx is a plus.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical care, infection control, and patient service.
