Role Description
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will prepare, review, and present estimates for projects in the nuclear power industry. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Performing construction installation manhour and cost analysis
- Coordinating with multiple internal construction discipline estimators
- Acquiring pricing for construction support services
We are seeking experienced mechanical equipment estimators and experienced field engineers to join our team. Your role will be essential to our operations, ensuring that your contributions are valued and impactful within Kiewit Nuclear Solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Construction-related field, or equivalent experience
- 10-15+ years of construction, field, or estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical scopes in large-scale EPC or bid/build projects
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and P&IDs
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Bluebeam, Hard Dollar, 3D Lift Plan, and/or SketchUp preferred
Requirements
- Regular, reliable attendance

- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
- Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
- May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
