MUST:
- Experienced Medical Assistant - Medical Receptionist
- 2 plus years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Experience working on EMR; knowledge of Epic highly preferred
- Strong experience verifying insurance and handling prior authorizations
- Experience handling and conducting high amounts of calls
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Medical Assistant diploma or Certified/Registered as a Medical Assistant
- Triage patients
- Prepare medical records
- Room patients
- Provide clinical help
- Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
- Perform data entry and processing
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain medical records
