Account Manager (Open) Location: Piscataway, NJ – Retail shop Base Pay : $70,000‑$75,000 plus commission, monthly car allowance, travel within assigned territory, and minimal overnight stays. This role focuses on building and sustaining high‑value partnerships within the business and industrial sectors, advancing sustainable growth in an established territory by nurturing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities. Key Responsibilities Advance territory growth by deepening relationships with existing clients and identifying new partnerships that meet company standards of excellence. Foster understanding by communicating in an organized and clear manner, ensuring that ideas, plans, and projects support customers' business goals. Develop a strategic roadmap to achieve sales milestones, utilizing effective time management and planning to prioritize existing and potential account opportunities. Implement account partnership strategies, including regular business reviews for key customers, to provide the highest level of support and value. Connect with key stakeholders and influencers to understand their needs and support their decision‑making process. Coordinate information management across all phases of the partnership lifecycle, establishing proactive action plans to ensure healthy margins and growth. Proactively learn about new products and the competitive landscape to remain a trusted advisor to clients. Integrate all product lines into accounts with a focus on adding value and fully supporting the core sales philosophy of customer‑centric service. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Reliable transportation, current driver's license, and minimum liability insurance as required by state of vehicle registration. Comfort and familiarity with computer applications, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. 3+ years of prior outside business‑to‑business sales experience, with solution‑selling concepts and a history of nurturing customer relationships within a defined territory. Excellent organizational, written, oral communication, and presentation skills utilizing current technology. Demonstrated experience using a consultative sales approach to provide multiple layers of value and establish a mix of sales solutions and products. Proactive and self‑motivated; results‑oriented with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Proven track record in industrial sales. Extensive experience in outside sales and relationship management. Knowledge or strong interest in welding and compressed gas products.
