Position Information Classification Title Application Analyst II FLSA Exempt FTE 100 Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience Preferred Qualifications Position Summary This customer-focused position is part of the Application Support and Development Team in the Terry College of Business, Office of Information Technology. This individual must demonstrate resourcefulness in solving complex problems through effective configuration, automation, and administration across a variety of platforms, including web and cloud-based applications. This individual works independently with college administrators, faculty, and staff to gather requirements, analyze data, and provide business intelligence solutions for decision makers including creating databases, database queries, simple workflows, analytical solutions, and reports. Performs various application upgrades and configurations and data processing tasks to support existing solutions for academic program and business office requirements, or creates solutions if they do not exist. This is a security-sensitive position with access to and responsibility for effectively protecting FERPA and other sensitive or confidential data sets. The successful candidate will have the desire and ability to learn new technology and develop new skills on an ongoing basis. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Experience in local, web, and cloud based computing, including bolt-on applications. CRM technologies. Programming experience including but not limited to HTML , and CSS . Technical document writing. Error troubleshooting. Survey-based tools. Reporting and analytic tools. Access and security provisioning. Using AI tools. Organize and analyze large amount of data/detail and come to appropriate conclusions. Communicate technical information effectively to users of varying skill levels. Manage priorities and adapt to change. Coordinate team and client activities and concerns. Duties/Responsibilities Maintain proper backups, maintenance, and patching. Independently gather client requirements to design and implement solutions. (60%) Deploy upgrades and hot fixes for supported applications. Alert clients of upgrades or changes in supported applications and provide supported documentation. Maintain and validate application backup and recovery procedures. Review email deliverables or front-facing public solutions to ensure data integrity and adhere to UGA and Terry College of Business policies and guidelines. Ensure that security, data protection, and proper user access are maintained and that all related policies and procedures are being followed. Ensure all software, databases, and applications meet the requirements of requested solutions. Utilize Salesforce CRM for Terry College processes, including but not limited to recruiting, registrations, events, outreach, surveys, and other administrative requests. Design and deploy simple workflows or low-code processes if baseline processes lack required functionality. Continuous service improvement. (20%) Maintain knowledge of current trends in applications and software use. Review technical documentation to ensure accuracy and make updates as needed. Maintain documentation on backup and restoration procedures. Explore AI tools to enhance IT service management. Provide user support and problem resolutions for applications. Maintain documentation of existing solutions. Provide end-user training on the use of provided solutions.
