Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-call required (up to 4 call shifts per 4-week period) | Weekend requirement (up to one working weekend shift per 4-week period) | Holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both scrub and circulating roles across a wide range of surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care within a busy, high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
• Participate in on-call coverage and respond to emergency surgical cases as needed
• Adhere to emergency response protocols, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers considered
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in the Operating Room strongly preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic teaching facility
