Details Work in the CT Scan unit of a hospital setting Uses Canon CT system 4x9-hour day shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM 36 guaranteed hours per week Backup call required every 9th weekend, with possible holiday call when needed on the unit Requirements Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required (license required if applicable) BLS certification required Current advanced ARRT CT registration strongly preferred Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine, or diploma required Two or more years of experience as a CT Technologist preferred Additional Information Produces diagnostic images using computed tomography to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury Provides comprehensive imaging care appropriate to patients ranging from neonate to geriatric Complies with all Federal, State, and Joint Commission regulatory standards for radiation control and imaging protocols Participates in annual education on dose optimization concepts including Image Wisely and Image Gently Accurately documents patient medical information and follows patient identification protocols May act as a preceptor for new employees and assist in training students, interns, and externs Reports to the Section Leader of CT Accepts local candidates at discounted rate Candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of the facility unless applying as a local traveler American Traveler Job ID #P-740157.
