Our highly qualified educators and staff members work to provide personalized attention and support to ensure that every student thrives.The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is directly responsible to Executive Director of Student Services and/or Assistant Director(s) of Special Education.Qualifications:Master's DegreeCurrent Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification requiredMassachusetts licensure/certification appropriate for school-based practiceExperience working within therapeutic learning classrooms or substantially separate behavioral programs is requiredStrong knowledge of trauma-sensitive and relationship-based behavioral practicesExperience developing and implementing FBAs and BIPs in educational settingsDemonstrated skill in behavioral data collection, analysis, graphing, and progress monitoringExperience coaching and consulting with multidisciplinary school teamsStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsExperience supporting students with emotional and behavioral disabilities preferredGeneral Duties:This position emphasizes relationship-based behavioral supports, student voice, trauma-sensitive practices, and proactive intervention development designed to increase student access, engagement, and success within the educational environment.The BCBA will work collaboratively with special education teachers, adjustment counselors, related service providers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized behavioral programming for students in therapeutic learning environments. The BCBA will provide direct consultation, staff coaching, behavioral assessment, and ongoing data analysis to support positive student outcomes.The successful candidate must demonstrate experience designing and implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) through comprehensive Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), behavioral observations, and individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).Specific Duties:Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and behavioral observations to identify patterns, triggers, and replacement skill needsDevelop and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) grounded in proactive, relationship-based approachesCollaborate with teachers, adjustment counselors, and support staff to implement behavioral momentum strategies and classroom-based interventionsProvide consultation and coaching to classroom staff regarding evidence-based behavioral practices and therapeutic supportsSupport the development of student self-regulation, coping, communication, and social-emotional skillsUtilize student voice and strengths-based approaches in intervention planning and implementationCollect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate intervention effectivenessGraph behavioral trends and modify interventions based on ongoing student progress and identified needsParticipate in IEP Team meetings and contribute to the development of behavioral goals and accommodationsAssist in crisis prevention and de-escalation planning using trauma-informed and restorative practicesSupervising all direct service providers in the schoolSupport district initiatives related to inclusive and therapeutic educational programmingWeymouth Public Schools is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws.
