RN - Acute Care - Orthopedic Surgery - Part-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse in this role provides high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on acute care for orthopedic surgery patients. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics. Key Responsibilities: Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practice. Deliver patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, fostering partnerships with patients and families through effective communication and education. Coordinate and document safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting respectful and inclusive clinical environments. Support performance improvement, participate in research, and uphold safety standards, including accreditation requirements. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to promote workforce development and professional growth. Engage in resource planning, protocol development, and efficient resource utilization to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with direct patient care preferred. Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred. Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environments, demonstrate critical thinking, and utilize technology effectively.
