Teacher of Spanish

Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, NJ, is seeking a full-time High School Spanish Teacher for grades 9-12 to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that inspires students to succeed. Responsibilities include, developing level-appropriate instruction, supporting school policies, programs, and administrative procedures, fostering a positive and productive classroom environment, and participating in ongoing professional development in 21st-century skills and educational technology. Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards Utilize innovative teaching techniques to actively engage students in the learning process Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their academic progress Prepare students for standardized testing and assessments Incorporate learning technology and educational resources to enrich student learning experiences Support students' academic and personal growth through mentorship and guidance Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and lesson planning Proficiency in proofreading and editing educational materials Experience working with high school students in an educational setting This is an in-person position; candidates must be able to commute to Scotch Plains, NJ #J-18808-Ljbffr American Association of Teachers of Spanish & Portuguese
