MIG Welder – Manufacturing & Fabrication

Position Overview

Abundant Solutions is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our manufacturing and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have strong welding and fabrication skills, the ability to work from blueprints and work orders, and a commitment to producing high-quality work safely and efficiently.

Shift: Days 6am to 4:30pm

Fulltime- Temp to Perm

Pay: $23+ depending on experience 

Applicants must successfully complete a 2F and 5F fillet weld test with visual inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on a variety of pipe, plate, tubing, and fabricated components.
• Operate a welding turntable while maintaining proper welding techniques and production standards.
• Complete fit-up and fabrication of flanges, wear-backs, stubs, pipe coils, and other components.
• Perform structural welds on pipe, plate, and square tubing.
• Fabricate and weld specialized tooling and fixtures as required.
• Use flat grinders and pencil grinders to prepare and finish welded components.
• Safely operate cutting torches for fabrication and material preparation.
• Read and work from blueprints, shop drawings, weld procedures, and production work orders.
• Safely operate overhead/lift cranes and fork trucks when moving materials and assemblies.
• Inspect completed work and maintain a high standard of weld quality while minimizing rework.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company attendance policies and maintain reliable attendance.
• Comply with all applicable safety procedures, quality requirements, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform additional production and fabrication duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency with MIG, flux-core, stick, and carbon arc welding.
• Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding procedures.
• Ability to follow written work instructions, weld procedures, and shop orders.
• Strong understanding of welding fit-up and fabrication practices.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure to 1/32-inch increments.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on weld quality and minimizing defects.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a production environment.
• Effective verbal communication and the ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment, including cranes and forklifts.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to consistently work scheduled shifts.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license required
• Pre-employment drug screening required
• Must be able to successfully pass the required 2F and 5F welding test
