This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to start a career in the HVAC trade and gain hands‑on experience while learning industry standards, safety practices, and installation techniques. Key Responsibilities Assist in the installation of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork Carry and move equipment, tools, and materials to job sites Help measure, cut, and assemble ductwork and piping Support system startup and basic testing under supervision Maintain a clean and organized work environment Follow all safety procedures and company policies Communicate effectively with team members and homeowners when appropriate Attend training sessions and actively learn HVAC installation skills Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Interest in learning the HVAC trade Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to work with tools Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Ability to pass background check and/or drug screening (varies by employer) Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly Comfortable working in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces) Ability to work in varying weather conditions Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing Preferred (but Not Required) Enrollment in or completion of an HVAC training program Basic knowledge of hand and power tools EPA 608 certification (or willingness to obtain) Residential homes and construction sites #J-18808-Ljbffr Americanmechanicalva
