Groundskeeper/Property Maintenance

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper/Property Maintenance person to help maintain the grounds, common areas, and exterior of an apartment complex. This position is responsible for keeping the property clean, safe, attractive, and well maintained while assisting with general property maintenance needs.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain apartment complex grounds, landscaping, and common areas.
• Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas as needed.
• Remove weeds, leaves, branches, litter, and other debris from the property.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and other landscaped areas.
• Clean and maintain sidewalks, parking areas, entrances, and other exterior areas.
• Assist with general property maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Perform basic painting, touch-up work, and other building maintenance tasks.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining vacant units and common areas as needed.
• Remove and dispose of trash and debris.
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, or property concerns to management.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in an organized condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and property maintenance standards.
• Provide professional and courteous service to residents and visitors.
• Perform other groundskeeping and maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, property maintenance, construction, or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of lawn care and landscaping equipment.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and attractive property.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

The successful candidate will be dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working with their hands. They should take pride in maintaining the appearance and condition of the property and be willing to jump in wherever needed to keep the apartment community clean, safe, and well maintained.
