Resident Engineer

Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challengesYour ImpactPlans, reviews and assigns work of subordinate field or construction field office personnelReviews construction processes and engineering layoutsReviews project activities with client and contractor’s field supervision resolving disputes and other daily issuesOversees materials testing activitiesReviews daily inspection reports and other project documentationAttends and may lead construction meetings with client and contractorsExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needsLI-TD1Who You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering-related field preferred (e.g. Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, etc.)A minimum of 7 years of directly relevant experience, including Resident Engineer / Construction Manager or related roles (or equivalent working knowledge/experience) on transportation improvement projects valued at $10M and greaterA demonstrated ability to read and completely understand contract documents A working knowledge of regulations and applicable codes, standards, and materials Effective oral and written communication skillsValid, current Nevada Driver's licenseProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policiesPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) / Licensed Civil Engineer or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferredAbout WSPWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
