General Purpose of the Position

Provides exceptional in-branch customer banking services, opens accounts, researches account problems, resolves complaints, and corrects records. Interviews customers to obtain information, and to explain and offer all appropriate available financial services. Rents and admits customers to safe deposit boxes, and executes wire transfers. 

Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Provide superior customer service in a professional and friendly manner. 
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of bank products and services.
• Provide prompt, efficient and accurate service in processing account-related requests such as opening and closing accounts, funds transfers, stop payments, safe deposit boxes and ATM and debit card inquires.
• Consistently provide excellent customer service, resolve problems and identify customers’ financial needs.
• Seek opportunities to refer customers to other lines of business within the bank.
• Work closely with the Office Manager and branch team to generate new business.
• Act as the customer liaison between other bank departments when necessary.

• Represent the Bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with all customers, potential customers and co-workers.
• Share knowledge and experience with other team members and provide support as needed.

Risk Management

• Process transactions efficiently and accurately while maintaining high service standards. 
• Ensure accounts are opened according to the Bank’s product and service guidelines.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all customer information obtained.
• Adhere to all bank policies, procedures and regulations.
• Any other duties as needed to drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by the Values of this organization.

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred and 0-2 years’ experience in a similar capacity.. 
• Knowledge of BSA and other applicable regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, information retention, tact and diplomacy in dealing with both customers and employees.
• Dependability
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 
• This position spends long periods of time standing, while tending to customers.
• Some filing is required; this would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
• This position requires frequent verbal and written communication skills
• This position requires basic math skills to calculate formulas, commissions, discounts, etc. 
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
