Personal Injury Legal Assistant

Large well established law firm based in Florida with offices throughout Florida and the U.S. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Injury Legal Assistant to join their team.The firm prides itself on knowing every client personally and offering the vast resources of a large law firm but with the customer service and attention of a boutique practice. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to the firms’ personal injury attorneys through the life-cycle of cases, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of personal injury law procedures and possess excellent multitasking and communication skills. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Personal Injury Legal Assistant to be considered.This position is on-site at the firm’s Ponte Vedra, Florida office. Responsibilities: Assist personal injury attorneys in all phases of case preparation and management. Conduct thorough research on legal precedents, regulations, and statutes relevant to personal injury cases. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements. Manage case files, ensuring all necessary documents are accurately organized and easily accessible. Coordinate and schedule appointments, depositions, mediations, and court appearances for attorneys. Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Liaise with opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses as needed. Assist in trial preparation, including the compilation of exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information and adhere to ethical and professional standards. Processing of pleadings, motions and correspondence (e-service and physical) and use of the Florida e-filing portal. Qualifications: Must have at least 3 years of prior experience working as a Legal Assistant in personal injury law Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, working knowledge of Clio Case Management Software is a plus but not required Must have proficiency in legal research and familiarity with online legal databases Must have the ability to prioritize and multitask Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be deadline and detail oriented Must have the ability to interact professionally with clients, counsel, and court personnel Benefits: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off #J-18808-Ljbffr
