Shipping Operations Coordinator


Location: Gibbstown, NJ

Position Summary


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Operations Coordinator to support daily warehouse and shipping activities. This role is responsible for preparing and verifying shipping documentation, coordinating with production teams, reviewing customer orders and delivery appointments, tracking shipments, and ensuring the efficient flow of products through the shipping process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, communicates effectively with drivers and internal teams, and is committed to accuracy and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and delivery paperwork.
• Coordinate daily shipping schedules with production and warehouse teams to ensure orders are processed and shipped on time.
• Review customer orders for accuracy and confirm shipment requirements prior to dispatch.
• Monitor delivery appointments and communicate scheduling updates to drivers, customers, and internal departments.
• Track outgoing shipments and provide shipment status updates as needed.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and update relevant systems and reports.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and operations personnel to resolve shipping issues and delays.
• Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance shipping efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and shipping procedures.
• Support general warehouse and operational activities as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or logistics-related experience preferred.
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, transportation coordination, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with shipping, warehouse management, or ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations, production staff, drivers, and customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift and move materials up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
